TEK is a technology magazine with the purpose of simplifying the tech world for the average reader. The first issue focused on wearable technology. For the feature article I was lucky enough to work with Krista Perry, an insanely talented illustrator who helped articulate the article’s complex concepts with awesome illustrations of monsters, making the article more accessible to people who know little about wearable technology.
The second feature is about implemented technology in the footwear industry. An interview with two of Nike’s top designers talked about their 2012 “Elite” footwear line, where they were challenged to make the most technologically advanced sneakers ever, and with materials like carbon fiber and kevlar, they succeeded in creating the most advanced (and expensive) sneakers they’ve ever made.
